SP12a and SP15a Aircraft Propeller – replaced with updated SP20B

Developed with the lightest of the Aviation market in mind, the Sp12 and 15 are both two blade designs suited to 60 to 120 hp. Variable pitch gives advantages of improved take off and climb rates from your lightweight engines. With their narrow power bands it allows better cruise speeds and economies by letting you to set your RPM to extract best from your engine. These highly efficient and affordable propellers are available for two stroke, four stroke or rotary engines.

NOTE: we will redevelop this unit for the very light end of the market if there are inquiries. The much improved and lightened SP20B now covers the upper half of the HP range this prop covered.

SP20B Aircraft Propeller

Developed for the lighter end of the experimental aviation market and suitable for applications between 120 and 160 horsepower. The same light but robust internal mechanisms as the upper end of the SP propeller range are used so strength is not a problem. Variable pitch gives advantages of improved take off and climb rates from your lightweight engines and then allows better cruise speeds and economies by allowing you to set your RPM to extract the best from your engine. Steeper descents and shorter landing rolls assist those with STOL on the mind.

SP30B Aircraft Propeller

Developed for the more powerful of the light end of the experimental aviation market, the SP30 range shares many common components with the SP20 range and the same horsepower range but with the allowance for another blade. This allows you to have a smaller diameter but still get the thrust with a minimal weight penalty.

SP40a Aircraft Propeller

Developed for the traditional Lycoming / Continental / Franklin range of engines. This unit is also ready for the more powerful of the Auto conversions as well. Suits 160 to 250 hp. With four blades for increased bite but still mechanically simple. This efficient unit will be noticed for its looks and speed.

NOTE: we are in the process of creating the B version of this propeller to bring it up to matching specification with the other units in our line up.

SP50B Aircraft Propeller

Developed with the largest of the Auto conversions in mind as well as the traditional Lycoming IO-540, The SP50 range works well with engines and reduction drives from 220 up to 450 hp. With variable pitch you get the best acceleration and climb rates possible and then settle back into the most efficient cruise and extend that fuel out to the maximum range. Once again steeper descents are available and reduced roll out distances for your SprintAero powered ‘rocket ship’.
